SitnGoGrinders How long have you been playing poker - how did you get started?

Circa 4 years, starting with home games for ridiculously low amounts of money, oftentimes for no money. Started playing play money in high school, sold about 10 millions worth (about $300) and never looked back. Did some deposit bonuses on EmpirePoker (a PartyPoker skin), so only deposited the initial $50 in my career. Started with $6 sngs, then moved up through the 10s, 20s, skipped the 30s, grinded at the 50s for a while before trying a few 100s. Skipped those since I was doing just as well at the 200s on Party and played those for my entire 1st year in college. Sorta took a hiatus from high stakes after splurging and buying a sports car, which was the worst mistake of my career since those treasured Party days will never come again. For the past 2 years though, I've been multitabling every stake from 100s to 1000s on Pokerstars. I had the goal of achieving Supernova Elite for 2008, and I was able to attain
that in September of this year.

SitnGoGrinders What are your ambitions?

Maintaining Supernova Elite for 2009 + getting 2 million VPP, while traveling to at least one international tournament per month. Also I'd like to run DEEP in a live event such as those in the LAPT or APPT, and of course the WSOP. I really like the international events, having been to multiple ones in Brazil, Uruguay, Macau, and Costa Rica already.

SitnGoGrinders What made you specilaize in the area that you have?

I like turbo SNGs since my hourly rate is highest in those games and the fact that they are the only games at high stakes that run. Achieving SNE would be impossible if I played non-turbos simply for the fact that no non-turbo SNGs ever run above the 100+9 level. Also, I can handle the variance both emotionally and bankroll-wise, so it's no biggie. Oh, non-turbos are boring too.

SitnGoGrinders How much do you expect to earn by playing professionally?

The SNE program alone is worth 100K, and then I just add my profits from SNGs.

SitnGoGrinders Whats your HW setup for playing??
I use a 15" laptop which I connect a 22" widescreen monitor to. I cascade my tables on the 22" screen in a custom arrangement, and pretty much ignore my laptop screen during my sessions (where I put the iTunes window, etc). I don't really even want a big monitor because it would strain my neck to cover that much more area.
SitnGoGrinders Tell us something about yourself?

I'm from Northern Virginia (near Fairfax), although it seems like I'm hardly ever there anymore since I've been traveling so much since graduation (actually writing this at the San Jose, Costa Rica airport as I wait for the plane). I consider myself a traveling fiend and poker is the perfect complement, which is incredibly awesome. I love to meet people and chat on just about anything so if any of this profile interests you, feel free to contact me on my blog.
